Abstract

In the Khorezm oasis, various traditions and ceremonies related to constructing a new house and moving to it have been held since ancient times. These customs and rituals played an essential role in the way of life of the local people. In the 21st century, the processes of globalization are accelerating the flow of information and affecting people's thinking. As a result of the rapid growth of science and technology and the expansion of scientific knowledge and worldview, these traditions, customs, and myths, which are valuable to the people and reflect the national mentality, are gradually losing their place in social life. Therefore, studying this topic based on ethnographic data is becoming an urgent issue. This article discussed the current state of these traditions, ceremonies, and rituals and their role in spiritual life.
