This article describes the systematization of existing methods and approaches to assessing the effectiveness of e-commerce systems (ECS), as well as their adaptation to the needs of commercial enterprises in theoretical and practical terms. Since the problem of efficiency assessment is much broader and covers technical, economic, organizational and other aspects, a commercial enterprise should select appropriate indicators (criteria) to assess the effectiveness of the formation and operation of e-commerce system, so as to evaluate the results obtained from each stage. It provides an opportunity to take the necessary measures to direct, develop and improve ongoing projects.
