This article is devoted to the analysis of approaches to assessing the innovative activity of higher educational institutions, in which a scientifically grounded proposal and recommendations for the use of higher educational institutions in practice were developed based on the study of the approaches of researchers and scientists to assessing the innovative activity of organizations, their grouping, analysis of advantages and disadvantages.
