Abstract

The end of the 20th - the beginning of the 21st century was marked by the fact that linguistics significantly expanded the range of research objects, realizing that it is impossible to achieve significant results in language learning today without the involvement of data from anthropology, psychology, sociology, cultural studies and a number of other related sciences, i.e. without the formation of external linguistics, the main task of which is the study of how the language functions. In particular, compliments as a speech act attracted the attention of German and Uzbek linguists. Researchers, describing only characteristics of its etiquette and analyzing some aspects of communication, argue that the study of the properties of compliment words requires great attention due to its ambiguous communicative status. At present, it is important to study and analyze the problems of foreign languages in relation to the issues of the native language. The main purpose of this work is to determine the role of compliment words in German and Uzbek languages with different morphological structure and their differences from related words, how it is expressed and its place in the language system forms.
This article provides extensive information on the use of compliment words in German and Uzbek, as well as an analysis of the features of the speech act in Uzbek and German, the functional aspects of interpersonal activities will be studied.
